5 weeks 6 days: heartbeat found!!!

It's a blessing! We found the fetal pole and heartbeat very clearly via internal ultrasound! You can also see that the gestational sac is a very nice rounded sphere too. We're happy. Chances of miscarriage is cut to 10%. Although, we've already experienced this once. My first pregnancy. We saw the heartbeat at 9 weeks and then it stopped growing at 10 weeks. The only thing that is reassuring though is that for that pregnancy, we couldn't see anything at 5 weeks 6 days. There was no yolk sac or fetal pole. So it seems this one may be a little different, and is growing right on schedule.


Vitals:

• It was measured at 6 weeks 1 day but give or take a couple of days because it's still so small and hard to measure it accurately.
• According to the OB, it was beating at 130 - 140 BMP.
• My HCG as of yesterday was 12,644 - it doubled in 3 days.

I'm getting another HCG quant in a week and another scan in 2 weeks.
